Why this irony?

Really, this list is for stable release discussions. If you experience
problems using a test release you should point your question / problem
report to the test list, simply because it is maybe known by other
testers or even fixed meanwhile.

If you have a problem using "smbmount" I would suggest having a look at
"man smbmount" and how to mount as a specific user/UID + group/GID,
setting fmask + dmask and other options.

If it is about a mount line in /etc/fstab for an smb share, then please
see the mount manpage (/smbfs).
