basic installation problem

Nope, not sure if nautilus can burn iso's correctly - interested to
know if it can...

Try opening a terminal and doing cdrecord -v dev=hd(x) /path/to/cdimage.iso

or using k3b gtoaster which have a way to burn images correctly.
