up2date takes forever

Where did I wrote that yum is selecting a near by mirror server
automatically? I didn't. If you did load the yum.conf *example* file
from www.fedorafaq.org, then treat it as an _example configuration
file_. Edit it as well and choose a mirror which fits for you.
