FC2-i386-disc1.iso

Thanks for the thought Robert, but "I AM able to boot from the disk created
from FC2-i386-rescuecd.iso..." I didn't burn a data cd w/ the iso file as
the only file on the cd :-)

I download WinMD5, and checked the files against the hashes. It turned out
that the iso files I originally burned from were ok. So, I
re-burned the problematic cd (taking the advise to use a cd-rw this time and
slow it down to the lowest speed),
and everything is working.

Thanks for all of your responses.

++Jeffrey
