I'll vouch for that. The OpenOffice update *did* require the update of
the libraries *and* the international files. It was very time-consuming,
though fortunately I had a call to make at the time and was able to get
the download rolling before I left, and found it complete when I
returned. I don't recall updating the xpdf package, though.
