How reliable are glxgears statistics? My FPS increased, from 650 to 1100 by using Option "EnablePageFlip" "true" in, xorg.conf!!! (Gene Heskett)

I'm getting the feeling the checkbook shoulda stayed in the back 
pocket on this one.  But at thge time I'd just been burnt by a 
failing GForce2 MX-200 32 meg card that failed shorted on the pci 
buss and took the motherboard with it.  So I was looking for anything 
non-Nvidia at that time.
