Clock delay

I have detected that the BIOS clock is getting some delay every time I
boot my PC. After several tests, I have discovered that this delay only
happens with kernel 2.6.8-1.521, whereas it doesn't occur with Windows
2000 or kernel 2.6.5-1.358. My motherboard is an Abit NF7-SL, last BIOS
updated (26). Any tips to solve this issue?
