Doubt about ADSL security

Your DSL security is only as good as you and your security
practices.I've had my DSL for over six years....... Even tho' my router
has all the things you mentioned, I still run  firewall or IDS AND
anti-virus on all internal machines.  On the Linux box, Fire starter is
a decent firewall.  I use port forwarding for specific services like FTP
from the router to specific machines.  I check my security logs
(including e-mail) and ban any offending IPs.  It is good to be
paranoid....it will keep you from getting infected or compromised.
