sbin/loader halt AMD 64 Laptop

Hello list,

First, Thanks for creating and maintaining such a great package and set 
of tools!

My problem is basic install. I pop in disk 1 of the 64 bit Fedora core 2
(from: http://download.fedora.redhat.com/pub/fedora/linux/core/2/x86_64/iso/)
and it looks good, things are flying by faster than I can read, but then halt
on 
running install...
running /sbin/loader

I have an xtremenotebooks raptor 64 accelerator:

with all the best stuff.
Could it be my DVD R/RW (slimline I think)?
