KDE desktop locks up when switching desktops

Hi,

I have a problem with Fedora 2 and KDE.
This problem occurs on a number of systems that I have, probably all of them.
The systems have been updated to about 1 wekk ago and are running the 2.6.8 kernel.

When swiching to a different virtual desktop either with the mouse on the
bottom panels virtual desktop window or by using Hot keys set up for the purpose,
the KDE desktop will occasionly (about 10% of the time) lockup for a period
of about 30secs.
During this time the bottom panel will not re-draw and new windows will not open.

Any ideas ?
