aic7xx system hangs

I just checked the speed(s).  The SCSI adapter that has the hard 
drives/RAID, all the devices are set to 80.  The other SCSI adapter 
that controls the CD-ROM and tape drive has all the devices set to 20.  
Do they need to both be the same speed?
