Slow internet

Hi all,
since the introduction of the 2.6.7 kernel in Fedora
2, I have been facing a strange problem: my internet
connection over ethernet has became very slow. For
example, on a certain website that is usually very
fast I can download at 6kbit/s. With the 2.6.6 kernel
I can download at more than 200kbit/s from the same
website. My network card is a Broadcom 4400. Googling
around I found some inforrmation about a problem of
the TCP implementation in some releases of the 2.6.7
kernel but I was unable to find any fix to this
problem.
Any clue on how to solve this problem?
