KMail distribution list under FC-2

There used to be an option in kaddressbook
to create a distribution list
(admittedly using addresses already in the address book).
This seems to have disappeared in the version of KMail (1.6.2)
that I am using with Fedora-2.

There is an option in KAddressBook=>Settings=>Configure KAddressBook
to add a KAB Distribution List plugin,
but opting for this has no apparent effect on my system.

Any advice or suggestions gratefully received.
