FC1 -> Fedora Legacy / yum.conf implications

That's one thing I know I'm going to want... At the moment I still have
a running FC1 in my grub.conf... Sometime soon I'm going to need to
make room for something that shall be called FC3 then, If the FC2 isn't
broken at the time, I'll be making a tar -cz back-up of FC1 and replacing
it with FC3...

In the event that I find a reason to restore the FC1, I'm going to want
to hope that a "yum update" on it might actually work, so I figure I'm
also going to want it already pointing at the legacy repository...

So I for one, will be interested to see both the yum.conf AND the tutorial...
