I told John Hodges:

He replied:

Evidently a recent Intel system. Is it a P4 with hyperthreading or does
it have multiple Xeons in?
You'll notice how all the interrupts go to one logical processor now.
That's not really a problem in a system with a single hyperthreading
CPU, but it makes an otherwise SMP system somewhat asymmetric (i.e.
there *might* be a small performance implication here).
You've evidently got an ATi graphics card. Which one? Have you loaded
any drivers for it that *didn't* come with Fedora Core?
If that doesn't stabilise the system, and you do have a single
hyperthreading Pentium 4, you might try booting with the non-SMP kernel.
Do let us know how you get on.
James.
