Hello VJ:

There is a bug/feature associated with the latest 2.6.8.x kernels. A 
non-root user is not allowed to burn. Your choices are to either a) su 
to the root user burn or b) boot into an earlier kernel.

If neither of those suggestions will work (suppose you don't have the 
older kernel, for instance), then this tutorial may be of some use for you:
