Stripping your quotation means to erase those parts of the previous
mail(s) you reply to which are not necessary to understand your reply.
Especially signatures are elements to be erased. Take my reply as an
example: someone reading this mail can understand the conversation by
reading first your question and then, below, my answer. All other
content from previous discussion about your RPM problem was erased by
me, because it would be waste. The Outlook mail client has a bad default
behaviour in this regard. Just imagine you send all your list mails to
thousands of subscribers, and the whole discussion thread can easily be
followed without repeating the content of a previous posting in full
length. Especially with the answer above the question is against common
reading, which is from top to bottom.
