That entry is commented. The powernow-k7 is even compiled fix into the
kernel and no module.

cat /sys/devices/system/cpu/cpu0/cpufreq/scaling_governor
What does that say? There are other infos available inside the same
directory under /sys whose content you can get by cat. More infos are
useful, like hardware information about the chipset (lspic) and
information from "dmesg" about ACPI capabilities or failures.
