sony clie sync

i'm sure this has been bandied about on this list. if so i've missed it
and i apologize. but...

my clie used to sync just fine with FC1. i've updated to FC3 (clean
install) and now nothing. it's a USB device and i've set it up as i did
with FC1. is this a known issue? i've done some searching but can't seem
to find anything.
