rsync passwordless in a script problem

ok, I gotta concede here...

if I run the script, for every rsync entry it asks me for password:
I give it ...continues on

if I run that same script entry from the shell prompt, i.e. :
rsync -ropgl /home* $DEST(giving the exact same destination):/home/
it takes it w/out a hitch.

all the permissions look ok

root owner
root group

owner can read/write
group can read
others can read

executable by everyone

bout all the info I can give y'all
