How to adjust the refresh rate of my monitor in FC3? (Wee Kiat)

That type of question has been asked and answered several times here on
the list. Please search the archive.

The low frequency is typically the result of wrong detection of your
monitor (not necessarily a fault by Fedora) or X using a generic
monitor. You should use an editor of choice and as root edit the
/etc/X11/xorg.conf file. In 'Section "Monitor"' find the lines

        HorizSync    30.0 - 107.0
        VertRefresh  50.0 - 150.0

and adjust them to valid ranges for your specific monitor. You will need
to restart X to make the changes active. To do so i.e. log out from
current X session and while seeing the login screen press
Ctrl+Alt+Backspace.
