a reboot question/issue... FC3

hi,

i have a FC3 system, and i remotely access it. when i do a reboot (as root)
from the remote session. it terminates the remote session, but it doesn't
take the whole system down for a complete reboot.

apparently i've changed something as this used to work. any idea how to get
the reboot to working again...

i'm running as userlevel 3.
