The grub on my sysdisk segfaults when I try to use it
to make a bootable clone of that sysdisk (see my earlier post
to the list) so I was hoping to find /sbin/grub on the installation
CD to see if that also segfaulted.
When booted from my sysdisk (/dev/sda), grub-install refuses to
install onto /dev/sdb (the target bootable clone of sda):

[root at ls1 ~]$ grub-install /dev/sdb
/dev/sdb does not have any corresponding BIOS drive.

Cheers,
Terry.
