I can't trust evolution with my emails (at the moment)

Is this through your server or your ISP?

Are you using a separate user name for posts to this list?

With respect to sent mails not being in the sent folder, is that global
or just for this list?

Have you checked the archives to see if your posts are posted but not
delivered (there's an option for that in the list subscription)?
