(Somewhat off-topic) shared calendar, pilot sync, but only, some categories

You might want to give webcalendar a try.

It might be a bit overkill and slightly manual but it seems to have 
ranged palm calendar file import/export.
I have no experience with it but I saw it the other day and figured that 
I might try it out myself.
