I wonder if it's necessary to remake fs making the inodes state anew to sweep off the lots of free space and to speed up fs - as there is no any utility able to do that instead of mkfs.ext3. Is it true? Is there any difference in making ext3-fs by mkfs.ext3 or resize2fs? -- Best regards, Strong.
