Force Rescan USB Devices in FC4?

Is there a way to make FC4 rescan USB device?

Sometimes our USB printers are not found by FC4 on
reboot. We have to manually unplug and then plug the
USB cable. If a script could rescan the USB device, we
could avoid unplugging the cable. Does anyone know how
to do this?
