Problems with Soundcard

Hi all,
I have recently upgraded to Fedora Core 4 from 3 and so far everthing works 
just fine. Howerver, the system has detected my soundcard which is a 
Soundblaster Audigy Platinum EX. The problem is that the volume is very low. 
On Core 3 it worked just fine. If I go into the volume control in Gnome and 
change it nothing happens! The volume remains the same. Any help would be 
apreciated!
