That's not impolite- you are one hunder percent correct. The Detailed
Look at the Boot Process I skimmed over in a non-redhat specifc
version with the same name, that I found on google. It did not have
the link to Running Additional Programs at Boot Time. Also, as I'd
rather not do anything harmful because I do not feel skilled enough to
understand what I break, I thought it safest to ask here first. But
you are right, I always STFW and RTFM to the best of my ability before
I post. Four out of five times, I get my answer right there! No need
to post, no waste time,...
