Thanks. I had gotten it settled a few days ago.

Actually, I had STFW before posting, and looked in fedoraforum and
fedorafaq. Try googleing for "startup script fedora" or something
similar, at least on the first two pages of results, this method is
not suggested. Also, on fedorafaq this is not answered. In MARC I
found a few different methods, but on SUSE lists, and I asked to be
sure that it is relevant for Fedora (which I mentioned in my original
post).

Also, when I replied to Chris, who RTFMed me very politely, I politely
responded that I had tried and found confusing and conflicting
information, and that I want to be sure before I mess with scripts
that may (as far as I don't know) afect my boot process and render my
machine unbootable!

Anyway, thanks to all who helped me. I always appreciate the patience
of the experienced that I see exercised here on the list.
