Bluetooth question.

I just bought my first bluetooth cell phone (Motorola V551 GSM)and I was 
wondering if it's worthwhile to try to communicate with it from linux. I 
could also buy a usb cable for the phone but I'm not sure how this would 
work.

Does anyone have any experience with this?
