Newbie. Java Path in Fedora not found

Just put a command to extend the path in your .bash_profile. This line
is backwards in a sense:
export PATH=$PATH:/usr/java/j2re1.4.2_08/bin

You want the line:
export PATH=/usr/java/j2re1.4.2_08/bin:$PATH
