SANE scanner websites "disappeared"

Yes.

The site has just reappeared for me too. Ah well!

I have installed using yum, sane and Xsane.

I started up XSane no problems.

Xsane ran a preview scan once on the HP 5370C (a
badged Avivision or some such device)

Support for HP 5370C is described as "basic" on Xsane
site

However, I only got one scan attempt using XSane - and
that had lots of blue vertical lines on the image seen
in the preview screen.

XSAne now just locks up when I try a preview scan -
even after a reboot of Linux / Fedora 4

I also tried to initiate a scan using OpenOffice
Writer - but Writer just hangs when I select "Insert /
Image / From Scanner".

I guess this is unlikely to be addressed but I will
report it.
