Last time I checked Adaptec hostraid is proprietary and is not supported in 
Linux.

Turn off hostraid, and use the AIC 7902 as a garden-variety SCSI adapter. 
Use Linux softraid instead.  It's childishly simple to set up softraid in 
Anaconda.  Works just fine.
