No.
I always run compiled kernels anyway,
so it is not worth spending too much time
working out why the distribution kernel does not work.

By the way, as you are so expert
I wish you (or anyone else) could explain to me
how I can do a clean install - or even an upgrade -
on my Sony C1VFK Picturebook,
as anaconda bombs out whether using CDs or hard-disk
half way through the installation:
<https://bugzilla.redhat.com/bugzilla/show_bug.cgi?id=160940>.

The only way I have found is to upgrade by running "yum update"
after altering /etc/fedora-release .
If anyone can suggest another route I would be very interested.
