Firefox and printer selection.

Whenever I print from Firefox I get a list of printers to choose from.
Even though one of the printers is no longer installed it is still
listed by firefox as selectable printer. Moreover it selects the wrong
printer as default printer. Apparently firefox has its own perception of
printers, but how can I tell'em which printer is the default? I've
already done that to cups but it looks like firefox doesn't see it.
