ATI propriety driver: no 3D

Hi all,

I've just installed the 64 kernel FC4 on my AMD Athlon 64 X2 with a Asus 
AX800XL (which is a Radeon X800 card).
For a driver I used the propriety one from ATI so I could play 
freedroidRPG (it needs 3D acceleration).

What happens is, the /var/log/Xorg.0.log shows the following messages:

So, bottom line is, I have no 3D accelleration because the 
/dev/dri/card0 is missing?
Or, is 3D hardware acceleration just not available for Radeon X800 cards?

If I start freedroidRPG anyway, it ends my X-session immediately 
(really: a fraction of a second) and I am presented a logon screen......

Does anyone know what is wrong here?
