You mean ANY TCP connection or you are talking about HTTP connections
via browser? If so, this is part of browser configuration, not OS. If
you use Firefox, type "about:config" at the location bar and take a look
at the following values:
network.http.max-connections
network.http.max-connections-per-server
network.http.max-persistent-connections-per-server
