shutdown

Greetings,

My system doesn't turn off power to the hardware on shutdown. 

>From Kmenu>Log Out>Turn Off The Computer: 

1. The shutdown screen gets to System Halted.

2. The key board lights blink but the computer stays powered up.

All logs look normal and:

[ron at localhost ~]#  /sbin/shutdown -h now 

works and the computer power shuts off as it normally does.

Any suggestions would be appreciated.
