Getting fuji to work as webcam

I'm trying to get a Fuji 5500 to work with Linux. Although it is a
stills' camera, it does have a webcam function. Windows XP recognizes
the camera with no need to install drivers, but Fedora Core 4 fails to
use the camera. The Fuji website doesn't have anything useful, either.

What must be done to use the camera as a webcam in Fedora? Thank you
in advance for any advice.
