Fedora seems  to have highmem enabled these days, so you can address up to
64Gb on a Xeon or other box with PAE support. Individual processes still
have 32-bit limits (2-4Gb), so you can use the extra memory only for disk
cache or spread over multiple "smaller" proceses.
