X Server will Not load

Just to get it right:

You've got a Laptop with FC4 installed on it?

When you worked with it you had no power cable, so the batterie went low?

After restarting the system (now with power) the system boots, but it
can't start the X-server?

And now you want to solve this problem by reinstalling FC4?
