KDE3.5: Failure in changing login scheme...

hi,
i've kde-3.5.0-2 running on debian.
probably we have the same problem.
i couldnt upgrade kdm for kde-3.5.0-2 ...

check this :

The following packages have unmet dependencies:
  kdm: Depends: kdebase-bin (= 4:3.4.3-3) but 4:3.5.0-2 is to be installed
       Depends: kdebase-data (< 4:3.4.90) but 4:3.5.0-2 is to be installed

now i am using xdm [or have to use], so i also have a login screen as u do.
mine is black with user name and password.

u can check if gdm works with kde-3.5.0 or not ?
if u able to install kdm or gdm for fedora, u can change the login style.
