You probably need to read up on wins server options.  Netbios is used to
broadcast info about shares.  This is typically not routed across
routers.  Wins servers was one solution to resolve this problem.  

Recommend you pickup the book "The Official Samba-3 How to and Reference
Guide".  It goes into detail on how to set things up to resolve such
issues and provides very clear examples.
