 It sounds like either ndiswrapper is looking in the grub.conf and you 
are using a seperate boot partition for boot or that the kernel is not 
available from one of your repos and is not installed on your system.

Do you think that someone would actually make rpm look for a kernel 
filename rather than the kernel rpm being installed?
