Not so long ago someone suggested sending an automatic email to new
subscribers (or on this list or on php-general, I dont remember
which), that would outline good question-asking and detail the
usefulness of the archives. As it is new subscribers get the welcme
email already, why not just add to it? If it's short I think that they
will read it- that's the reason they signed up in the first place. I
imagine that the same person who could add Jim's archive link could
also set up that automatic email. Um, who whould that be? If he's
avoiding the list (wonder why), then I wouldn't be embarrassed to drop
him the suggestion in an email. Anybody know who maintains the list?
There was no human-admin at redhat.com made mention of in the welcome
email (I just checked).
