USB problem

How can I install fedora3 on to a external USB drive
...when it does not detect hdb, but just hda...on the
drive(s) part of the installation
Even BIOS recognize the USB drive
 ...someone responded saying that fedora3 does not
support installation on to external USB drive...but
later someone else said that got to install f3 onto
USB driver....

any  help thanks a lot........
