kernel-2.6.10-1.760_FC3smp fails to boot

Okay, booted back to 1.12_FC2smp now...
I tried the above, and the boot output was similar to that which I
posted before, until:
Creating root device
Mounting root filesystem
mount: error 6 mounting ext3
mount: error 2 mounting none
Switching to new root
switchroot: mount failed: 22
umount /initrd/dev failed: 2
Kernel panic - not syncing: Attempting to kill init!
