Mozilla slow/choppy in FC3

There is something odd about running applications from an NFS mounted
drive with the 2.6 kernels. Some applications cause the system to slow
down and become 'choppy' as you describe. But only some applications.
I have not quite nailed the problem yet but I did report this bugzilla:

The bug is called "slowdown when running programs from NFS mount".
