Installation errors

Aloha Claus,

This is kind of a shot in the dark, but have you tried using the DVD 
image instead of the CDs? Could your CD-ROM drive be hosed? It's strange 
to me that your disks check out but you error on the same file every 
time. Do any of the other Fedoras (or any other Linux for that matter) 
work on this system?

Have you tried something like Knoppix (a live Linux installation that 
runs directly off of a CD)? What island are you on? I'm on Oahu, so if 
you're here too and don't have the necessary resources to burn a DVD or 
download Knoppix, perhaps I could work something out with you.
